Victory is mine!

So, back when I was still in high school, I came across this site, Neopets.com, and couldn't help but give it a try. Sure enough, in time, I was hooked by the obscene amount of games, the ability to use your pet to fight monsters and other peoples' pets, and the prospect of earning oodles and oodles of Neopoints and becoming one of the riches players in the game.

Yeah, that last one never really materialized for me, but hey, what are you gonna do, right? Can't have everything.

Eventually they did this thing on the site where there was a major plot with special war opponents and stuff like that, and I found myself frustrated by the lack of information on the web about previous plots/wars, secret opponent locations, and stuff like that, so I eventually created my own small site. Soon that site grew larger and larger until finally it became one of the top Neopets related fan sites on the Internet (and considering there are millions of users on the site, that's saying something).

The Neopets Hive site is probably the project I'm most proud of... it helps the most people, I receive Neomails on a regular basis from people who are grateful for the information on the site or the fun little events I host from time to time, and it is by far the most visually impressive and well-designed of all my sites (owing mostly to the fact that I basically copied one of the original Neopets layouts and made it my own, haha).

Anyways, the Hive doesn't get quite as much attention as it used to, but every now and then I do get the urge to go on and make sure it isn't completely out of date. Now that I'm out of college, I may never have the free time I once had to keep it updated and active on a regular basis, but at the same time, I like the fact that it has a strong fan-base, helps so many people still, and, despite trends to the contrary on other sites, the Neopets Hive remains Advertisement free.
